Whichever team you join, you will be exposed to senior clients and major deals from very early in your career. Our client solutions and advice are drawn from the data you analyze, and their success relies entirely on the integrity of the underlying analysis. That's why we ask much more of you than simply running numbers; we expect you to read the numbers, understand the story they tell, identify trends and patterns – and speak up have new ideas or a different perspective. You need to be able to deconstruct and reconstruct the numbers and understand how they all fit together.
The eight-to-ten week internship starts with a week of intense training where you’ll be equipped with the relevant theoretical knowledge; you'll then join your assigned team where you can expect to:
- Carry out in-depth company and industry research
- Analyze data and draw financial and strategic conclusions from your work
- Present results to your team creatively and persuasively, ready to clarify and debate any given aspect with confidence
Working in small teams alongside senior J.P. Morgan professionals and clients, you'll absorb a vast amount of industry, country and product knowledge. The experience and accessibility of everyone around you will make the whole process happen at a phenomenal rate.
Depending on the location you join, there will be one rotation across the Investment Banking teams half way through the summer internship program which is structured to give you the opportunity to develop a well-rounded knowledge and skill-set.
