There are two tracks available for you to choose from:

Data Science - Use your knowledge and experience to research, design and implement analytical approaches and models to solution novel use cases of Big Data Analytics that will be deployed at scale across J.P. Morgan Chase.  

Analytics Solutions - Lead efforts to develop and implement analytical solutions through a mix of consulting (i.e. problem solving, client interaction) and project management skills.

Key skills

We're looking for exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem solving and communication skills, demonstrated leadership ability and an ability to collaborate across teams using a consultative approach. You must have awareness of Big Data technologies and their applications, and a strong track record of success. 

Data Science: Knowledge of any of the following software packages: Python, R or SQL and familiarity with relational database concepts, background in statistics and machine learning and a passion for learning

Analytic Solutions: Experience communicating effectively with business and IT partners, consulting orientation with ability to influence internal and external business partners, quantitative background and a passion for learning.

Beginning in September 2021, FAST Cohorts will gain exposure to a variety of analytics techniques, business lines and datasets while supporting the management and implementation of end to end solutions for analytics output, data products and data infrastructure that will move the firm’s bottom line.

On-the-job experience

While not a formal ‘rotational’ program with set time lines for new rotations, FAST Analysts and Associates will spend up to 2 years in the group in a consulting-like atmosphere which will give exposure to many different topics and Lines of Business across Chase’s consumer businesses. Projects can range from 4 weeks to a few months, offering significant opportunities for a variety of experiences.

Training

In addition to comprehensive on-the-job training, the program kicks-off with a month long training “boot camp” before moving to a more structured instructor led and self paced trainings.  Throughout the program, you will also have mentorship opportunities to ensure you are equipped with the tools to succeed.

Career Progression

It is expected that program participants will eventually leave FAST to continue developing their skillset with one of our Lines of Business, but the timing is on your schedule: If you find a place you love within the first year, you can move as soon as you find that role. If you enjoy the variety of FAST, you can stay longer than 2 years and help train our future classes while continuing to lead a variety of projects across Chase’s businesses.
