Innovation Development Program

Summer Internship (Applications close 1 Oct) | | Full-time Program (Applications close 14 Jan)

Can you summarize the program?

As part of the Commercial Banking Innovation Development Program, you will have the opportunity to offer your diverse perspective to help us develop the next wave of products and solutions for our clients. The program delivers a Fintech mindset where you can make strategic recommendations to improve processes, deliver results for our clients, and drive value for our businesses. You’ll learn to approach challenges with an end-to-end lens through program education, hands-on learning, and mentoring.

What are some of the unique experiences an intern or analyst in this program might experience?

You’ll be placed on a high-impact team for the summer, where you’ll work across one or more core disciplines – Strategy, Transformation, Product Management, Process and Change Management, and Data and Technology – and you will take on core responsibilities to help provide value to our Commercial Banking businesses and clients by supporting our collaborative and inclusive teams. As a full-time analyst, you will complete three rotations across various teams and core disciplines, having a chance to determine where you want to dig-in further and what suits you within Commercial Banking. Both the summer and full-time program begin with robust training and will provide opportunities to support the launch of new products, optimize systems, deliver best-in-class client experiences, or reimagine our internal processes.

What are you looking for in a candidate? Who should apply?

We are looking for candidates who have a technical or business background and are interested in working in the Fintech industry. We are also looking for critical thinkers with strong communication skills who would thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment.  

Why should someone choose this program?

In this program you’ll learn to be a disruptor in Commercial Banking as we are expecting our Innovation Development Program analysts to challenge the status quo with creative ideas and solutions. You’ll also have the opportunity to be on the forefront of innovation while learning the skillset to be the leaders and disruptors of the future. 

 

Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries Analyst Program

Summer Internship (Applications close 30 Sept) | Full-time Program (Applications close 14 Jan)

Can you summarize the program?

Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) is part of the Commercial Banking line of business and provides banking and investment services to municipalities and non-profit organizations who have an annual revenue of $20 million to $500 million. MMBSI is organized into five regional groups and a variety of industry segments, including, but not limited to, Agribusiness, Life Sciences, Government, Healthcare, Higher Education, Not-for-profit, and Technology and Disruptive Commerce.

What are some of the unique experiences an intern or analyst in this program might experience?

During the summer, MMBSI interns experience a real preview of the full-time analyst program by gaining exposure to client workflow and live deals, technical & soft-skill training, mentorship and industry rotations, and building close relationships with fellow interns and employees. Given the full-time analyst program is structured with three rotations across banking, credit, and treasury within various MMBSI businesses and coverage groups, the internship experience will mirror the same. Both programs provide a well-rounded experience to help launch your career while cultivating the skills and knowledge needed for you to become a leader in MMBSI.

What are you looking for in a candidate? Who should apply?

We are looking for individuals who have an interest in Commercial Banking and enjoy working with people, building relationships, delivering top notch results for clients and someone who has a deep curiosity and drive to learn. We also look for candidates with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, open-mindedness, strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.

If you are interested in developing a well-rounded skillset, making an impact on our business by working on financial models, conducting credit analysis, determining treasury solutions, building and maintaining client relationships, as well as conducting prospect research to support business development efforts, you should choose MMBSI.

 

Corporate Analyst Development Program

Summer Internship (Application deadlines vary by region) | Full-time Program (Application deadlines vary by region)

Can you summarize the program?

Corporate Analyst Development Program is a unique, cross-discipline rotational global leadership program specifically designed to develop a pipeline of well-rounded future leaders for the firm in our infrastructure businesses, and help them gain insights into how our businesses come together and deliver value through three core program disciplines: Project Management, Process Improvement, and Analytics.

What are some of the unique experiences an intern in this program might experience?

The most appealing aspect of the program are the multiple rotations and being line of business agnostic which means you get a holistic view of the firm, and experience the breadth and variety of experiences across different functions of the bank!

What are you looking for in a candidate? Who should apply?

We are looking for candidates with exceptional analytical skills, leadership potential, and the ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to new environments (i.e. new discipline focus every 8 months in a structured rotational framework) while acquiring a breadth of experience. Key qualities also include the capacity to think outside of the box to develop innovative solutions and an eagerness to drive change.

Why should someone choose this program?

It is a great program that grooms exceptional well-rounded future leaders interested in growing their career at the firm. Individuals who want a career in finance but aren’t sure what to expect will be pleasantly surprised by how much they learn with a trio of eight-month rotations!

 

Software Engineering Program

Full-time Program (Application deadlines vary by region)

Can you summarize the program?

The Software Engineer Program is designed to open the door to an accelerated career in technology for students by providing the technical skills and business acumen required to succeed in a large, complex corporate environment.

The work will be varied.  You could be developing digital and mobile features, strategizing on how big data can make our trading systems quicker or even helping create the next innovation in payments for merchants!

What are some of the unique experiences an intern in this program might experience?

This program offers hands-on experience, one-on-one mentoring with both junior and senior members of the company, access to senior business leaders (including a session with Jamie Dimon!) and the opportunity to meet colleagues and peers to build a professional and social network.  

This program is without a doubt both challenging and fun! We have a big focus on bringing your whole self to work and provide lots of support networks across many diverse ‘Business Resource Groups’ which are kind of our equivalent to University Societies.

What are you looking for in a candidate? Who should apply?

We’re looking for enthusiastic, capable and motivated Computer Science, Engineering or STEM major students and grads who want to directly contribute to our businesses from day one. Our teams work collaboratively, so we’re looking for those who have excellent teamwork and demonstrated leadership abilities. You should have excellent coding skills and exceptional problem solving and analytical thinking skills as well.

This program is an excellent opportunity to start a career in one of the world’s biggest tech companies, with an open, collaborative and supportive culture. There is no way of you getting bored in this program!
