Learn how to put your best foot forward

We're excited you've decided to apply to one of our programs. We want to know what drives you and makes you unique—and your application is the place to share that information. To help you put your best foot forward, review our advice on preparing your application.

Decide what programs you wish to apply for.
You can submit applications for up to three programs, so be thoughtful in your selection. Withdrawing an application will still count as one of your three applications.

As part of your application, you may be invited to play pymetrics games. The games help us learn more about you and how you think. Completing the games as part of your application also means you’ll receive a personalized trait report, helping you discover new insights about yourself and the way you think.

Essays are required for some programs, including those in certain regions as well as some Early Insight programs. If you will be writing an essay, give yourself plenty of time to consider the topic and craft a meaningful response.

Overall, application processes, eligibility, and deadlines vary by program, so be sure to double-check the details before you apply.

If you aren't sure which program to apply for, you can complete the pymetrics games as part of the Program Navigator.

Make your resume stand out.
Your resume is a key piece of your application, so spend the time to reflect your skills and abilities. Highlight specific examples of attributes (e.g., perseverance, self-discipline, collaboration) that you’re particularly proud of.

Tailor your resume to the role you're applying for. Read the program info and job description carefully, and then emphasize the experiences and skills you have that match. Brevity is important so be careful not to overload your application and resume.

Review and revise.
Ask a few trusted friends or advisors to review the documents to ensure they read well. Connect with your school to ensure all the information on your academic transcripts is accurate. Lastly, do a final review to make sure your application is free of spelling and grammatical errors.
