Who we are
We drive the strategic agenda for the firm including our lines of businesses. We collaborate with senior leaders to solve our firm’s most challenging strategic questions and ensure we remain a leading global financial services firm of the future.
What you can do
The strategy team is organized into two distinct groups. Core Strategy and Strategy & Process Improvement (S&PI) work with businesses and functions on strategy.
Teams work with the JPMorgan Chase Operating Committee members to drive the strategic agenda for the firm. Comprised of two firmwide teams, Core Strategy focuses on initiatives that cross businesses and functions (Corporate Strategy) or are functionally-aligned (Integrated Payments Strategy). Also there are four strategy teams dedicated to individual businesses: Asset Management, Commercial Banking, Consumer & Community Banking, and Corporate & Investment Banking.
Examples of Core Strategy projects include developing growth strategies, assessing and planning market entry, and managing cross-business initiatives. Typically team-based, Core Strategy projects involve extensive interaction and collaboration with senior executives across the Firm.
Teams work with senior executives across the firm to increase operating performance, improve controls, and generate bottom-line improvements. S&PI group includes two firmwide teams: Core S&PI, covering Corporate and firmwide efforts, and the functionally aligned Global Technology S&PI. Three other teams are aligned to specific businesses: Asset Management S&PI, Commercial Banking S&PI, and Consumer and Community Banking S&PI.
S&PI projects involve Operations Strategy, Strategic Planning, Business / Functional Transformations, Organizational Design and Governance, and Efficiency Improvement. Working as a team, these are macro and high-impact projects that create measureable business value, with near-term solutions implementation (~12-18 months).
